Mar Thoma Residential School was founded in 1974 by the Mar Thoma Educational Agency, Tiruvalla, Kerala.
The school began with a simple yet meaningful purpose — to provide quality education that contributes to the development of the whole personality of every child.

Mar Thoma Residential School was founded by the Mar Thoma Educational Agency, Tiruvalla. The school began its journey with just three teachers and eighteen pupils.
The institution gradually developed its academic and co-curricular programme with a focus on sound education, healthy living and the development of the whole personality of children.
Over the years, the school developed into a vibrant educational community at Kuttapuzha, Tiruvalla, providing students with opportunities in academics, co-curricular activities and residential education.
The school became affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, and continued to maintain a strong academic programme alongside co-curricular education.
Today, Mar Thoma Residential School continues its journey of nurturing students through academics, values, creativity, leadership and service while preparing young people for the future.
